Craptastically Yours

It's fun to go treasure hunting and find off-the-wall, really bad stuff like this "Elvis" bust.

Barb's Bargains.

 Painted shells.

This old cash register was really cool.  There were some tickets still attached and it was hard to tell what kind of business it was used in - maybe a gas station?

That's it!  Elle should have been a nurse.

My grandmother and aunt had these exact glasses when I was growing up and my aunt drank Dr. Pepper out of them.  I used to love to watch her put her makeup on and smoke cigarettes.

This gypsy boy and girl are headed to the Mission Road Antique Mall.

 As is the biscuit tin.

Cool little garden bench or shelf.

I loved the beat up nature of this cherb mirror.

This tin is destined for a "pinup" mosaic.

I was in desperate need for buttons and found some jars.

Future chalk holders for mosaic chalk boards.

New Additions

I added a few more goodies at the Mission Road Antique Mall this week including this cute black table and plaster bust with real human hair.

This old flower cart is just the right amount of distressed and chippy.

Heading out Monday for more treasures to be added to the space soon.

New Stuff at Mission Road

I recently moved to a larger space at Mission Road and needed to beef up the inventory. I also needed some taller pieces to add height to the space. I lucked out with this tall shelf. It's made of doors and it's HEAVY!

The new jelly cabinet looks great beside the stencil.

I added lots of smalls . . .

And here are a few things I didn't take home with me.

Why didn't I buy this hat for Elle?!

Various Eccentricities

Brenda and I are really having fun with the booth at the Mission Road Antique Mall (space 140). I love what she did with this stencil!

Her Frenchy canvas wall art pieces are fabulous!

I can't wait to see what she comes up with next! Pillows? Tables? Bring it on!

Switching gears - Jason and I had a wonderful dinner at Lil's on 17th last night for his birthday. As usual, Carmen blew us out of the water with her amazing food. Our friends had never been and it was fun introducing them to this locally owned gem.

To add to the randomness of this post, I wanted to share some pics from Brendan's recent school production. He played guitar. Very eclectic and I enjoyed it very much!

Gray is My Signature Color

I love gray. When I moved into my new space at the Mission Road Antique Mall recently, I thought I could live with the blue . . .

But after about a week in, I just had to go gray. Thanks to my friend, Brenda, for opening my mind to a slightly lighter shade. So nice!

I picked up these great old pictures recently and they are right at home in my booth. Hopefully not for long!
