Things are coming together for the Country Living show next week in Austin, TX at the Travis County Expo Center. I'm so excited about my new sign!!

This was the first cowboy boot I made and it was purchased by a great customer in London.


Signs by Tomorrow made the sign and I would recommend them highly. If you're in KC, they're on 87th and Farley.

I spent hours the other day getting every piece tagged and bubble wrapped. I want to make a few more things and am going to land just shy of my inventory goal, but it is what it is!!

The Great Escape

Today was a super shitty day at work. But dealer work night at River Market gave me a chance to unwind.

This is a Lamoureux Mannequin. They were made in the 30's out of human hair and plaster. I just love her face.

Porcelain letters say it all . . .

Fab Flamenco pics in what else? Velvet, of course.

Last week, this suitcase housed another mannequin. She was so pretty, but collected dust at the other mall I'm in. She lasted for about an hour at the River Market.

I am digging these tiered plant stands. It's actually made up of two quarter round pieces.

Very chippy, vintage flower cart. Reminds me of something I'd see in Mary Poppins.






I couldn't resist this coin changer.

I'm sure if I had an entire store to buy for, stock, and style it would seem like a job, but for now, having two small spots in two malls is just what the doctor ordered for the stress.

Spring?

Mother Nature is throwing us for a loop in Kansas City with temps around 38 today but I'm not letting it get me down. I just moved a couple of birdbaths into my space at the Mission Road Antique Mall, including the one below on the left. Really wide bowl with a great twisted base.



And this one's in there, too, with remnants of gray paint on the bowl. A great size with lots of personality - you can't beat on old concrete birdbath.

I think my pansies will be okay, but I've moved my head indoors for now.

Fun Stuff

I found the perfect little dresser a couple weeks ago on a shopping trip. So cute and just the right amount of creamy chipped paint.

This giant basket was awesome. You can't tell from the picture, but this basket is probably a few feet across and a couple feet high.

I don't see many cream and pink dress forms. This one was pretty fun.


The greatest bag of tiny bottles, many have already found a home in mosaics that can be found HERE on my other blog.

I didn't take home much on that trip, but this card holder was something I just couldn't pass up.

This timer was another find. I already had the paper mache parrot.

Brendan had a dance last weekend with friends. I have to treasure these moments. We took him to tour The University of Kansas yesterday and it won't be long before high school is over and he's on to college. WOW, what happened to the time?

I Heart Old Stuff

All of my latest goodies are now at the mall. I had fun talking to some really cool dealers yesterday while I restyled some stuff.

This chippy wicker chair got some oooo's and ahhhhh's as I moved it in. It won't be there for long!

And it was another day of fun in the snow at my brother's. Here's the fort that took us hours to build yesterday.



My brother will soon be in India for two weeks; no snow where he's going!
