Various Eccentricities

Brenda and I are really having fun with the booth at the Mission Road Antique Mall (space 140). I love what she did with this stencil!

Her Frenchy canvas wall art pieces are fabulous!

I can't wait to see what she comes up with next! Pillows? Tables? Bring it on!

Switching gears - Jason and I had a wonderful dinner at Lil's on 17th last night for his birthday. As usual, Carmen blew us out of the water with her amazing food. Our friends had never been and it was fun introducing them to this locally owned gem.

To add to the randomness of this post, I wanted to share some pics from Brendan's recent school production. He played guitar. Very eclectic and I enjoyed it very much!

Gray is My Signature Color

I love gray. When I moved into my new space at the Mission Road Antique Mall recently, I thought I could live with the blue . . .

But after about a week in, I just had to go gray. Thanks to my friend, Brenda, for opening my mind to a slightly lighter shade. So nice!

I picked up these great old pictures recently and they are right at home in my booth. Hopefully not for long!

Little Side Table Before and After

I picked up this side table on a shopping trip last week.

After some gray paint and antiquing glaze, it's now for sale at the Mission Road Antique Mall. Next redo: a bookshelf that I'll change from yellow to dark charcoal. I just love to paint.

Also new in my booth at the mall, these little rabbit and chick candy containers.

Beautiful stag ink well. So traditional.

I did not buy this table, but thought it was fabulous. More pics of shopping trips coming soon. My inventory at both malls needs some major pumping up!

The Little Steak House Across from the Big House

Elle, Nina and I trekked out to Leavenworth, Kansas last week for some junkin. We ate at the little steak house that was quite literally across from the big house.

We had a great time, lots of interesting stuff.

Great mosaic fodder - gotta get busy this week and keep makin' those pieces just in case I get into the Austin Country Living show!
