AMAZE!!!

Opening day at Amaze and there was so much good cheer and energy when I stopped in after work.

And the shop looked great!










I had to snag some Italian spiced oil for fresh bread and some red pepper jelly. These will be my apps for our Father's Day celebration this weekend.

Yummy candles including creme brulee and banana nut bread.



My first sale! Jane bought my chalk woman to display her wonderful jewelry.

More Painted Furniture

This is the chest of drawers that matches the vanity I painted last week. More great details that aren't really visible with the dark wood.

And after . . . just like with the vanity, the light gray makes those details pop. Jason and I moved it into my space at Amaze tonight in time for the opening tomorrow!

This weekend, I'll be on the hunt for my next soon-to-be-painted piece.

And speaking of Amaze . . . things were really coming together tonight as the girls worked to put the final touches on their spaces.

Evolution of a Space Part 2

I spent another evening at Amaze bringing in the vanity and an old farm table and trying to get things up off of the floor.

And I found a place for my tumble weeds! I used dried naturals, like the reindeer moss, to add some textural interest and a subtle pop of color. I love a monochramatic palette and color is hard for me. I would rather add dimension through texture.

This English pewter tea set has so much character.

And I am digging my baby doll door stop.

I got a couple more pieces stuck on the wall but all of it will need to be rearranged once I finish painting the tall chest of drawers and move it in.

And I'm sure I'll always be tweaking and fluffing as I find more treasures and add them to the mix.

As predicted, Sharon's yummy soaps are a great addition. I'm glad I kept a few bars at home for myself!

Evolution of a Space

I was at Amaze until the wee hours pricing and arranging my treasures. It was pouring rain and I couldn't move my furniture in, so tonight, it's Part II.

As of right now, much of my stuff is on the floor, so I'm anxious to get everything moved in and styled.

I was so excited to walk into the store last night and see my corner sectioned off so I could really understand what I was dealing with space-wise. As a newby, I just started buying up things I liked and didn't have any idea how much I would really need to adequately fill the space.

I think I have a nice start but I'll know more with the furniture included.

I love this little celluloid bride and groom. She's even wearing a corsage.

And vintage plastic religious statues and crosses are always wonderful.

That's a tumble week poking into the photo on the right. I'm not sure if I'm going find a place for them; they take up a lot of space!

I'm also a novice when it comes to hanging things. The black bang-up up window below would be cool suspended, but I'm not that confident, yet.

I wonder if my pink painted garden shoes are too "left of the dial". I sure love the lime green ones I have on my birdbath at home.
