Post Number One!!!

Welcome to Eccentricities! This is a blog about my interior design style and vintage finds.

Soon, you'll be able to find me at Amaze Boutique, a shop offering a great mix of original art and vintage finds on the northwest corner of 135th and Quivira in Overland Park, Kansas. The English pewter tea set is just one of the treasures I've amassed in my collection of goodies for the shop.

The hobnail lamp is one of a pair and the shades are so cute!

This chest of drawers has beautiful details.

And the matching vanity hearkens back to an age when women could leisurely take their time with makeup and hair. Who has that kind of schedule?!

I have a thing for chalk. This nude has fabulous colors and I love the pin-up girl style.

I've been on a flamingo kick lately.

There is something so intriguing about old mirrors. What kind of history has been reflected within them over the course of so many years?

Once again, wonderful details. Nothing new compares to this.

Wonderful old lamp with marble base.

And I thought this little fern stand needed some sprucing up. Before . . .

And after . . . The grey did the trick with a little distressing and antiquing.

I am so excited that I will finally be turning my love of treasure hunting and junking into something I can offer to others. I can hardly wait to get in and start styling. The ideas are continuously swirling! Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing anything you see on my site. Thanks for your support of my new venture!
