Yesterday, my brother, Kahn, and sister-in-law, Kavitha, had a Hindu ceremony for their son that signified his turning six months of age and moving to solid food. Here's my little pumpkin with his parents.
It is so interesting to observe the tradition and to hear the cadence of the Hindu priest reciting verse and singing.
Here are my folks with the baby who was focused on my dad's hand.
The temple itself was amazing with all of the adorned idols and bright colors.
Kahn and Kavitha just moved back home after being in Chicago for three years. Congrats to them for finding a house! I love it even more knowing that it's 4.0 miles from mine!
